The SC Cobras didn’t receive any points from their 3rd overall pick (Kucherov) but their mid-2nd rounder potted points aplenty, defenseman Shea Theodore ripping two goals and 9.0 of his team’s 19.0 points, the dark horse Cobras galloping to an early 6.6 point Championship match lead.

Defenseman Rasmus Dahlin (1g, 1a) and his 6.0 point game kept the Misconducts head above water; the favored franchise bringing a manageable deficit to a four-game Wednesday.

Cherry Pickers: 17.3
Lumberjacks: 16.2­
The Lumberjacks used a combined 8.2 points from winning goaltenders Ilya Sorokin (43 saves) and Ville Husso (39 saves) to narrow the gap; the Jacks and their 16.2 point effort drawing to within 1.1 points of the Cherry Pickers.




Matthew Tkachuk’s second career hat trick has placed Baba Booey in 2nd place overall, the bubbling Booeys and their league-best 20.2 point effort now seated just 25.0 rows behind the FHL Cup and a season-ending $600.00 payday.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
Three of the FHL Cup contenders have lost star players, the Flyers (Landeskog), Bluliners (Ekblad) and Ducks (yesterday’s news) all playing with a tank that isn’t filled to the brim. Baba Booey - with Torey Krug’s return to action - will be entering Crunch Time (a.k.a. the final two weeks of the season) with a fully-stocked team, the Booeys - last year's Laughing Bag recipient - seemingly poised to pull-off a rare Worst-to-First finish.

The Bout for the Money
In 1st place on April 7th, the fading Wild Ducks now find themselves on the verge of being shoved out of the money; the 3rd place Ducks just 6.4 points better than the 4th place, no-money Bluliners. The Cherry Pickers made money-headway on Tuesday, the Pickers and their 14.0 point performance drawing to within 47.1 points of 3rd place. The Central Red Army also gained ground, the Army and their 14.8 point effort now stationed 62.9 points outside of $120.00ville.

The Scrap for the Laughing Bag
Rocky Rocks scored 6.0 points. The SC Cobras scored 19.0; the shallow-breathing Rocks now trailing by 64.5.
