WEEK 23 (FINAL)

The opening round of the H2H playoffs was truly the round of the underdog; all three lower ranked teams overcoming long odds to win their match - the SC Cobras (11th place), Lumberjacks (10th place) and Misconducts (8th place) advancing past the Boulder Flyers (1st place), Wild Ducks (2nd place) and Baba Booey (4th place).

Round One, Playoffs

SC Cobras: 69.9
Boulder Flyers: 56.0­
The Boulder Flyers received three goals and 9.0 points from Josh Norris, but their last-ditch effort was met with heavy resistance; the SC Cobras using a 9.0 point game from defenseman Tyson Barrie (1g, 2a) to protect their advantage, the near-basemented Cobras laying waste to the FHL’s best team.

Misconducts: 55.9
Wild Ducks: 53.4­
The Misconducts only scored 3.0 points on Sunday, but for the comeback-hopeful Wild Ducks, the damage had already been done - the Ducks falling to their longtime rival by 2.5 points; the Misconducts heading to the semifinals where they’ll continue their quest for the 2021-22 FHL H2H crown and it’s $120.00 prize.

Lumberjacks: 60.3
Baba Booey: 56.1­
Joel Eriksson Ek (2g, 1a) powered Baba Booey to a league-best 17.6 point Sunday, but it wasn’t enough to fell the Lumberjacks; the Jacks using a 13.0 point closer to successfully defend their lead. With the victory, GM Recoskie and his upstart team advances to the H2H semifinals where they will seek a share of the $190.00 purse.



It took 23 weeks but the Polar Bears finally got their paws on the Best Week Bonus; Connor McDavid applying the icing to the towering cake with a goal, two assists and 5.0 points - GM Elya gifted $10.00 for his week-best effort.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
It’s becoming difficult to wrestle the lead from the Boulder Flyers - the bend-but-don’t-break team padding their overall advantage on Sunday; the Flyers leading the 2nd place Wild Ducks by 12.5 points heading into Week 24 of the 27-week season. The 3rd place Bluliners are facing a 16.8 point deficit despite scoring 10.0 points on Day 7. Baba Booey made inroads to what would be their first FHL Cup, the third-year franchise now trailing the top spot by only 31.2 points after their Sunday-best effort.

The Bout for the Money
In 4th place overall, Baba Booey was the league's biggest mover-and-shaker; the Booeys drawing to within 14.4 points of 3rd place and its $120.00 prize. The Cherry Pickers were the worst team of Week 23; the Pickers - trailing the cash but just 15.7 points at the start of the week - now find themselves sitting in a 30.6 point money pit.

The Scrap for the Laughing Bag
With each passing day it’s looking more and more like Rocky Rocks will be saddled with the Laughing Bag - the booby prize awarded for fantasy hockey futility - the AWOL Rocks currently buried by 52.0 points.
