| Jeff Carter powered his Crosby Show team past the Polar Bears, netting 13.0 (3g, 1a) on Friday.THE CROSBY SHOW: 61.7POLAR BEARS: 52.5The Crosby Show put an end to the Polar Bears magical run, wrapping up 2nd place Gretzky division cash in the process. The first year franchise, 13-12, will take home 16% of all transaction and penalty monies. The shell-shocked Polar Bears, 8-17, can still hold their head high as the once down and out squad rallied to win four of their last five matches. The Bears however were guaranteed a last place Gretzky division finish as they now trail the Spidermen by two games with one week remaining in the season. MISCONDUCTS: 72.2BLULINERS: 51.7The Misconducts are streaking once again as their best score of the week resulted in their 12th win of the season. With nothing left to play for in the Howe division, the Misconducts have turned their attention to the overall race where they lead the 3rd place Boulder Flyers by 1.4. The Bluliners meanwhile slumped to 11-14 in defeat and now have no chance of receiving a Gretzky division paycheck. The Bluliners however did vault into 5th place overall and, if they can hold the spot, will move to the prestigious Howe division next season. WILD DUCKS: 70.8ICE CATS: 36.7The Wild Ducks also have nothing left to play for, in a good way. With a lock on the FHL Cup and the Howe division crown, GM Collard's sharpshooting team still uncovered enough motivation to pound the abandoned Ice Cats, improving to 19-6 with the impressive 34.1 win. On the flip side, the Ice Cats plummeted to 11-14 in defeat. The poor showing also dropped the veteran franchise into 6th place overall. If the season ended today, the Howe division Ice Cats would begin play next year in the Gretzky division. SPIDERMEN:44.5MOOSES: 21.1The Spidermen's 2008-09 is closing on an up note as GM Schriver's sqaud improved to 10-15 with the 23.4 win. The Laughing Bag Era of the veteran franchise appears to be over as the Spidermen are seated comfortably in the FHL living room - nowhere near the creepy basement. The penalty-loving Mooses can't brag of the same as last year's FHL champion is firmly lodged in the FHL cellar. With one week remaining in the season, the Mooses are 43.4 out of 9th place and will soon be slapped with the very sticky "First to Worst" label. BOULDER FLYERS: 55.3ICE HOGS: 29.9The Boulder Flyers encountered little resistance from their snakebitten opponent as GM Morgan's franchise improved to 16-9 with the win. With one week remaining - and with a lock on 2nd place in the Howe - the Flyers will now turn their full attention toward the Misconducts and the race for 2nd place overall. The Ice Hogs meanwhile were beset with another rash of injuries. Despite the horrible luck, the Ice Hogs can still brag of a record of 17-8, a Gretzky division title and a return to the Howe division when the puck drops next October. Next Week ...
