| Baba Booey is once again the very best team in the league, Timo Meier leading the competition-crushing assault with a career-best five goals and 19.0 points, the Booeys and their 37.5 point Monday - trailing by 16.4 points at the start of play - now 15.1 points better than the rest.Wild Ducks: 9.8 Baba Booey: 37.5The Wild Ducks, 6-7, fly to Western Canada to face-off against their Grimson division leader. With the two-game-swing activated, this is a hugely important match for the Wild Ducks who trail Baba Booey, 8-5, by two games. Note: To keep morale high, GM Collard asked his players to “keep your head down, don’t look at the score” as they disembarked the plane on Monday evening. First Meeting: Baba Booey, 50.5; Wild Ducks, 48.6Ice Hogs: 4.0 Central Red Army: 11.0The Central Army is the latest team to be called upon - to try and put an end to the Ice Hogs six-match winning streak. Penning the Hogs, 6-7, won’t be easy as they posted the highest score the previous week (63.9 points). The Army, 6-7, scored only 42.0 points. H2H standings-wise, the Hogs are in a better position as they trail their division leader by one game; the Army sit two games back in the Domi. First Meeting: Central Red Army, 53.6; Ice Hogs, 38.0Rocky Rocks: 6.0 Misconducts: 6.0A pivotal Domi division clash featuring Rocky Rocks, 6-7, and the Misconducts, 7-6. Trailing by one game, the Misconducts are gunning for the division lead (and an automatic berth in the seven-team playoffs). The Rocks sit two games back. This being a match of the two-game-swing variety, a win is kinda high on GM Smalley’s wish list; very high on the wish list of GM Rocky. First Meeting: Misconducts, 37.2; Rocky Rocks, 30.0Boulder Flyers: 6.0 Polar Bears: 1.6The Boulder Flyers travel down the street to engage the Polar Bears. Seated higher in the standings - and having scored more total points - the Boulder Flyers, 7-6, arrive as the comprehensive favorite. The Flyers lead the Probert division by one game. The Bears, 6-7, are hoping to climb back in the race for the Grimson division title, the team beginning play two games behind the division-best Booeys. First Meeting: Polar Bears, 42.4; Boulder Flyers, 37.7Lumberjacks: 10.8 Bluliners: 10.6 The Bluliners, 5-8, have the worst record in the league. Seated two games back in the Probert, the team’s playoff hopes are in need of a win. The Lumberjacks, 7-6, possess one of the best records in the league. Given that the Lumberjacks are in last place overall, they shouldn't be favored to win this match, but they are - because this is H2H and H2H numbers often don't make sense. First Meeting: Bluliners, 43.6; Lumberjacks, 30.0SC Cobras: 3.0 Cherry Pickers: 3.3 The Cherry Pickers, 6-7, hope to even their record with a win. To accomplish that, they’re gonna have to knock-off the best team of the Domi division - the SC Cobras jetting to Ontario, Canada with a league-best record of 8-5. The overall standings won’t be much help in predicting a winner; the Pickers having scored an average of 45.8 points per week, the SC Cobras, 45.5. First Meeting: SC Cobras, 52.3; Cherry Pickers, 42.9LINK: Standings |
