| After a horrendously slow start, David Pastrnak is finally heating up, the 25 year-old sniper netting two goals, an assist and 7.0 points; the Wild Ducks with the early edge in their H2H match, leading the Bluliners by 5.0.Wild Ducks: 8.0 Bluliners: 3.0An Original Six pairing featuring two teams that could really use a win. The Wild Ducks, 5-7, are three games behind the Grimson leader while the Bluliners, 5-7, are one game back in the Probert; both teams are seated in the basement of their respective divisions. There’s still plenty of hockey remaining to be played, but the time to stop losing is now. First Meeting: Wild Ducks, 49.7; Bluliners, 43.9Baba Booey: 0.0 Boulder Flyers: 3.0A marquee match featuring the two best teams in the league. While their overall numbers are similar, Baba Booey has been the better H2H team; the Booeys, 8-4, sporting the best record in the league (a distinction that would provide them with a first round playoff bye) while the Boulder Flyers, 6-6, have been average at best. All considered, you probably shouldn’t bet against the Booeys. First Meeting: Baba Boooey, 45.6; Boulder Flyers, 40.2Central Red Army: 0.0 SC Cobras: 2.8 A huge Domi division clash with huge playoff implications. The SC Cobras, 7-5, are seated on top of the Domi. They lead the Central Red Army, 6-6, by a single game. If the Army wins, they would be tied for the division lead; if they lose, they’ll fall two games back. When it comes to intradivision matches and two-game swings, this is a good one. First Meeting: SC Cobras, 60.8; Central Red Army, 55.9Misconducts: 3.0 Polar Bears: 1.0 If you’re looking for an average match, you’ve come to the right place. Both the Polar Bears and Misconducts arriving with average records; both teams 6-6. When it comes to title chases (and automatic berths in the playoffs), the Misconducts are sitting in a better place, the Domi division squad just one game behind their leader. The Polar Bears - in the highly competitive Grimson division - are two games back. First Meeting: Polar Bears, 54.5; Misconducts, 39.6Lumberjacks: 6.0 Ice Hogs: 10.0The Lumberjacks are in last place but continue to defy the H2H odds, GM Recoskie bringing an impressive 7-5 mark to this non-divisional affair. The Ice Hogs are the hottest H2H team in the league, GM Henry riding a five-match winning streak. As the better overall team - and the hottest H2H team - you’d figure the Hogs would be the favorite, but they’re not, and we’re not sure why. First Meeting: Lumberjacks, 50.3; Ice Hogs, 49.6Rocky Rocks: 5.0 Cherry Pickers: 2.0The Cherry Pickers, 6-6, are tied for the Probert division lead. They need a win to stay there. Rocky Rocks, 5-7, is stuck in the Domi division basement. They need a win to get out of there. That’s what the two teams face as they lace their skates in preparation for the 13th week of the scheduled 22-week H2H regular season. First Meeting: Cherry Pickers, 54.6; Rocky Rocks, 21.0LINK: Standings |
