WEEK 6 (thru Saturday) Empty
PostSubject: WEEK 6 (thru Saturday)   WEEK 6 (thru Saturday) EmptySun Feb 21, 2021 11:33 am

WEEK 6 (thru Saturday) RLIoZ7T
The volatile Lumberjacks exploded for a season-best 31.2 points, slingshot defender Kris Letang leading the assault with a two goal, 9.0 point game - the one-time cellar-dweller unexpectedly returning to “Cup Contender” status, the juiced Jacks now trailing the top spot by just 31.2 points (somewhat ironically, the same number of points they scored on Saturday).

Rocky Rocks: 38.5
Lumberjacks: 64.9

By scoring only 3.6 points on Saturday, Rocky Rocks - a money team on Thursday - was dispatched to 8th place overall. The effort also put an end to the yo-yo Rocks chances of securing a win, the Lumberjacks burying Rocky in an avalanche of points, GM Recoskie - his week-best team moving from 11th place to 7th place overall - soon to be handed his third H2H victory of the season.
LAST DAY LINEUP (Rocky Rocks: 2 players; Lumberjacks: 1 player)
Rocky Rocks: Patrice Bergeron, Thomas Chabot
Lumberjacks: Paul Stastny

Bluliners: 54.2
Baba Booey: 40.7

A virtual points machine, Auston Matthews posted another two goals and two assists on Saturday, the seemingly routine performance generating 10.0 of his team’s 16.5 points. Baba Booey meanwhile was charting in the opposite direction, an anemic 3.0 points leaving the were-leading Booeys 13.5 points back. There is hope however as David Pastrnak and three others will be gunning for a comeback win on Sunday; Shea Weber the lone soldier guarding the Bluliners fort.
LAST DAY LINEUP (Bluliners: 1 player; Baba Booey: 4 players)
Bluliners:  Shea Weber
Baba Booey: Elias Pettersson, David Pastrnak, Blake Wheeler, Neal Pionk

Cherry Pickers: 39.0
Boulder Flyers: 26.2

The Boulder Flyers were hoping a live Saturday would draw them back into this match. Instead GM Morgan was forced to watch Saturday Night Dead - the Flyers recording a meager 6.0 points. The Cherry Pickers weren’t good either (3.0 points) but they didn’t have to be, the Picks large “thru Friday” lead still large, the FHL’s best team one day removed from a perfect record of 6-0.
LAST DAY LINEUP (Cherry Pickers: 5 players; Boulder Flyers: 3 players)
Cherry Pickers: Brady Tkachuk, Brock Boeser, Bo Horvat, Nicklas Backstrom, Thatcher Demko or Braden Holtby
Boulder Flyers: Alexander Ovechkin, Kyle Connor, Tyler Toffoli

Ice Hogs: 27.0
Wild Ducks: 35.0

While Connor McDavid may (or may not) curse those who house him, there’s certainly no hex on the big guy himself, McDavid netting three goals and two assists on Saturday - the 15.0 point effort helping to place the suddenly-surging Ducks in-front of the Ice Hogs; the Hogs and their dropped-jaws now trailing the Ducks by 8.0 points - a light four-game Sunday to decide the winner.
LAST DAY LINEUP (Ice Hogs: 2 players; Wild Ducks: 2 players)
Ice Hogs: Justin Schultz, Connor Hellebuyck
Wild Ducks: Evgeny Kuznetsov, T.J. Oshie

Polar Bears: 39.1
Misconducts: 40.3

How in the hell do the Edmonton Oilers score seven goals and Leon Draisaitl only get two assists!?! That was the pointed question GM Smalley was asking himself on Saturday, the Misconducts still landing in the range of respectable, scoring 13.3 points in all. Trailing for the first time this week, GM Elya was asking himself "How the hell did I blow a 9.5 point 'thru Thursday' lead,” the now-trailing Polar Bears needing a sizeable game from one Quinn Hughes to have any shot at a win.
LAST DAY LINEUP (Polar Bears: 1 player; Misconducts: 4 players)
Polar Bears: Quinn Hughes
Misconducts: Mark Scheifele, Jakub Vrana, Jeff Petry, Carey Price*
*At press time, start not confirmed.

Central Red Army: 36.9
SC Cobras: 46.5

Sam Reinhart deposited two of his three shots, the 4.0 point effort powering the SC Cobras to a strong 15.6 point Saturday; the number adding 4.5 points of cushion to the Cobras lead. The Central Red Army were good on Saturday but not good enough, the team securing 11.1 points. A win however remains a possibility, the John Carlson-led Army doubling-up the Cobras 4 players to 2 on the final day of the week.
LAST DAY LINEUP (Central Red Army: 4 players; SC Cobras: 2 players)
Central Red Army: Nikolaj Ehlers, J.T. Miller, John Carlson, Charlie McAvoy
SC Cobras: Brad Marchand, Ivan Provorov
