WEEK 4 (thru Thursday) U1UF5cx
Sinking fast - lodged deep in the overall standings - the Bluliners did an about-face on Thursday, Filip Forsberg (2g, 3a) collecting 13.0 of his team's jaw-dropping 34.0 points - the buoyant Bluliners again in the hunt for what would be their fourth FHL Cup championship.

Bluliners: 43.7
Boulder Flyers: 33.6

The Boulder Flyers replaced bad hockey with bad luck - the team finally uncovering a healthy number of points only to be bitch-slapped by the Bluliners. GM Morgan however did manage a smile, his team receiving goaltending points for the first time since the Nixon administration. Trailing the Flyers by 6.3 points yesterday, the Bluliners now lead by 10.1. Better yet, the Bluliners erased yesterday’s 61.9 point overall deficit and now trail the first place Wild Ducks by just 34.4.

Baba Booey: 41.5
Rocky Rocks: 39.3

Thomas Chabot (1g, 1a) netted 6.0 points - the 24-year-old defenseman guiding his Rocky Rocks team to a strong 15.0 point performance. Baba Booey received 5.0 points from Dominik Kubalik (1g, 2a) but the rest of the team was flat, the Booeys with a fight on their hands as the rolling Rocks have drawn to within 2.2.

Cherry Pickers: 27.2
Lumberjacks: 11.6

The Cherry’s were ripe for the picking but the Lumberjacks fell off their ladder (not sure if you need a ladder to pick cherries) - the Jacks unable to take advantage of their opponent’s paltry 6.0 point effort - the needa-win franchise now trailing the Cherry Pickers by 15.6 points after netting just 6.6 on Thursday.

SC Cobras: 42.6
Polar Bears: 46.4

The all-or-nothing SC Cobras were “all” on Thursday, Jonathan Huberdeau enjoying a career-best three goal, two assist, 15.0 point game - the snakes netting a total of 23.1. The Polar Bears carded a solid 12.5 but saw their lead shrink considerably, the bipolar Cobras moving to within 3.8 points of their suddenly-nervous opponent.

Ice Hogs: 26.4
Misconducts: 37.7

“Alright, maybe I have a chance” said GM Henry after his team collected 15.3 points on Thursday; Alexander Radulov leading the Ice Hogs with three assists and 4.0 points. “Oh shit, I might lose” said GM Smalley after his team stumbled through a forgettable 4.0 point evening, the Misconducts advantage just 11.3 points with three days remaining in the week.

Central Red Army: 22.0
Wild Ducks: 25.0

With the two best teams doing battle, this match was expected to generate a lot of points. Unexpectedly, it’s been something of a pitching duel; the Ducks with 25.0 points after four days; the Central Red Army, just 22.0. Of course this marquee match could quickly turn into a slugfest; both teams stacked; both teams focused as they lace their skates in preparation for a five-game Friday.
