| The Polar Bears now own the best single-day score of the season, Smokin' Joe Pavelski (2g, 2a) collecting 10.0 of his team’s 28.9 points, the Bears - trailing by 36.5 points just yesterday - now just 19.5 steps from the entrance to the opulent FHL penthouse suite.SC Cobras: 13.5 Polar Bears: 32.9“Hands full” is what the SC Cobras have after they were pummeled by the Polar Bears, GM Murphy’s squad outpointed by 21.9 on Tuesday - the Cobras now preoccupied with warding off the Fat Lady as they lace their skates in preparation for a two-game Wednesday. Ice Hogs: 9.6 Misconducts: 33.7 The overall standings are beginning to feel like quicksand for GM Henry and his Ice Hogs, the team sinking 54.7 points back after a dismal 5.0 point performance. The Misconducts meanwhile couldn’t be happier, Jeff Petry (1g, 1a, 6pts) again guiding his team to the Land of Many Points; the Misconducts leading the haggard Hogs by 24.1. Central Red Army: 9.0 Wild Ducks: 15.0 Jamie Benn (1g, 2a) contributed 5.0 of his team’s 15.0 points, the Wild Ducks returning to the very familiar grounds of first place overall. The strong Tuesday effort also provided GM Collard with an early-week lead, the deadly Ducks leading the misfiring Central Red Army by 6.0 points with now, five days remaining in the week. Baba Booey: 21.5 Rocky Rocks: 15.3After a horrendous start to the season Baba Booey appears to have solidified their footing, the billowing Booey's - currently seated in 9th place overall - collecting another 7.0 points on Tuesday. In 6th place overall, Rocky Rocks were held to just 4.3 points. With Week 4 heading toward the backstretch, GM Rocky’s trotting squad trails Baba Booey by 6.2 lengths. Cherry Pickers: 11.0 Lumberjacks: 5.0 On January 25th the Lumberjacks were in 3rd place overall - just 3.6 points behind the league leader. Since then it’s been nothing but short straws, the wheezing Jacks sinking to 7th place - their deficit now cause for concern as they trail the best of the FHL by 43.7 points. Meanwhile, the Cherry Pickers have causally extended their H2H lead, GM Ron now sitting on a 6.0 point cushion. Bluliners: 9.7 Boulder Flyers: 17.0 This undercard bout is literally a fight between the two worst teams in the league - the undefeated (how the hell?!?) Bluliners recently sinking to 11th place overall; the win-free Boulder Flyers still nestled in the basement. Through Tuesday however, the cellar-dweller has been better than their overvalued opponent, the birds leading the Bluliners by 7.3. LINK: Standings |
