The fuel that powered GM Collard to his 2019 FHL Cup championship, Brent Burns is once again raging in the Wild Ducks machine, the seasoned 35 year-old netting a goal and two assists (9.0 points); the Ducks moving into the familiar confines of 1st place with their league-best 21.8 point effort.Wild Ducks: 21.8
SC Cobras: 4.0
It’s far too early in the season to declare any match “must win,” but with the 2021 schedule featuring nothing but intradivision play (read: two-game swing) every match is uber-crucial - both the Wild Ducks and SC Cobras feeling the heat; both teams dragging an 0-2 mark into this Yankee division duel.
Central Red Army: 9.0
Misconducts: 2.0
Points should be bouncing off the walls as this Week 2 encounter features the two best teams of Week 1. With both the Misconducts and Central Red Army still perfect at 1-0, the need to win is minimal, though both GM’s agree, “2-0 looks and sounds a helluva lot better than “1-1.”
Cherry Pickers: 2.8
Baba Booey: 13.9
After a dismal opening week, Baba Booey, 0-1, is hoping to turn things around; the first-year franchise locking horns with the Cherry Pickers. With a mark of 1-0, the Pickers should be heavily favored - however the second-year squad struggled in the latter days of Week 1, as such, GM Recoskie and his toiling team could be ripe for the picking.
Rocky Rocks: 6.3
Bluliners: 14.0
The Bluliners travel to Ontario to match hockey wits with Rocky Rocks. While both teams begin play with the same 1-0 record, the Rocks are listed as “the favorite” on everyone’s card (not counting the card of GM Hamilton’s mother) - the Bluliners beyond fortunate to escape with a win after scoring just 29.2 points over the first five days of the season.
Boulder Flyers: 8.0
Lumberjacks: 10.7Both the Boulder Flyers and Lumberjacks departed Week 1 with a loss attached to their record. With winning at a premium due to the shortened season, this match is huge - neither team in position to absorb another loss. Who will win depends on a whole slew of factors, none more important than which team scores the most points.
Ice Hogs: 9.8
Polar Bears: 10.0A pivotal Yankee division clash as the Ice Hogs do battle with the Polar Bears. Despite their opponent’s 0-1 mark, the Hogs, 1-0, are not taking the Bears for granted - for good reason as GM Henry's squad outscored the Bears by just 2.0 points in Week 1. While it’s hard to bet against the Hogs and their H2H pedigree, FHL pundits are calling this tilt a toss-up.
