Polar Bear Loui Eriksson was the star on Friday as his two goals lead to his team's 5th win of the season.POLAR BEARS: 37.0MOOSES: 34.4The monkey was finally removed from the Polar Bears back as they recorded their first win since the world premiere of "Gone with the Wind." Now 5-16 overall, the PB's are still a long, long, long shot to depart their first season with a paycheck as they sit four full games behind the second place Crosbians. In defeat, the Mooses cemented their position in the Howe division cellar as their 8-13 record has dropped them eight games behind the Wild Ducks.
ICE HOGS: 71.6THE CROSBY SHOW: 41.3No contest here as the Ice Hogs wiped the floor with the Crosby Show. With only five weeks remaining in the season - and with a six game lead - the Ice Hogs have officially been crowned the Gretzky division champion. It's not all doom and gloom for the Crobvakians as they remained in $econd place in the Gretzky division, one game better than the Bluliners.
WILD DUCKS: 71.6BOULDER FLYERS: 31.8The Wild Ducks not only wiped the floor with the Boulder Flyers, they also cleaned the toilets. With the blowout win, the Wild Ducks padded their Howe division lead, now a virtually insurmountable three full games. The Boulder Flyers meanwhile endured their worst week of the season, narrowly escaping the $3.00 penalty while plummeting to 13-8 overall.
SPIDERMEN: 53.5BLULINERS: 31.6The Spidermen had no trouble with the Bluliners as the pivotal win put GM Schriver back in the hunt for Gretzky cash. The S-Men are now within two games of the Crosby Show, and an FHL payday. The Bluliners are tracking in the the opposite direction yet are still within sniffing distance of the money, just one game back of second place. The $3.00 penalty was their second.
ICE CATS: 60.3MISCONDUCTS: 54.4The Ice Cats needed a win and they got it. As a result, GM Cutshall's kittens remained three games back of the second place Boulder Flyers - the last spot that pays at the end of the season. The loss was a back-breaker for the Misconducts as they failed to pick up ground on the Boulder Flyers. Their record has also returned to "Sub .500 Land," now 10-11 for the up-and-down 2008-09 season.
