| The Misconducts are the 2018-19 FHL H2H champions, Darcy Kuemper capping the victory with a brilliant 39 save, 7.8 point shutout; GM Smalley and his team awarded $110.00 for their dominating championship match performance.Championship MatchMisconducts: 84.6 Boulder Flyers: 64.0 After defeating the Central Red Army in the opening round (52.3 to 46.9) and the Wild Ducks in the semifinals (48.8 to 38.7), the Misconducts unleashed their wrath on the Boulder Flyers in the title match; the Domi division runner-up claiming the top H2H prize in resounding fashion. Alas, there would be no defeating the Misconducts in Week 25 as the squad’s 84.6 performance would prove better than every single team in the league. Despite the loss, the Boulder Flyers weren’t left empty-handed. For their second best effort, GM Morgan skates away with bumps, bruises and $60.00. Consolation Match Wid Ducks: 52.4 Ice Hogs: 32.7 Sunday would prove to be completely uneventful as none on the players - on either team - would pot a point. As such, the Wild Ducks maintained their commanding lead, the team awarded $30.00 for their consolation match victory and 3rd place H2H finish. GM Henry and his Ice Hogs depart the match with the same amount of money they had when they arrived; nada. The Bout for the MoneyThe “FASTEN YOUR SEATBELT” sign is flashing as the league enters the final week of the season. The Boulder Flyers are seated in 2nd place; 22.7 points clear of 3rd. Beyond that it’s jam-packed as only 5.0 points separates the 3rd, 4th and 5th place teams; the Vegas Vipers, Misconducts and Polar Bears. Essentially, 4 teams are competing for 2 prizes; one of $325.00 and one of $175.00. Two of the teams - likely by the narrowest of margins - will skate away with nothing (that’s $0.00 if you’re keeping score at home). And that's not all - there are longshots; 3 teams (Bluliners, Central Red Army and Ice Hogs) that sit no more than 41.7 points in back of a season-ending payday. A deficit of 41.7 points is large, but as history will tell you, a lot can happen in a week. The Battle for the FHL CupOn Sunday the 2nd place Boulder Flyers returned the Wild Ducks’ Saturday favor, closing the gap from 72.2 to 59.5. While it’s practically inconceivable for a team to make up 59.5 points in a six day week, GM Morgan is hoping for one monster performance; if only to provide GM Collard with one restless night. The Scrap for the Laughing BagConcussion Junction was parked on Sunday which allowed Badger Bob to close the gap from 32.6 points to 29.6 - the Bobs still with an outside shot of escaping the cellar as the 2018-19 season barrels down the homestretch.
