WEEK 24 (FINAL) 2UwPzSf
Alexander Ovechkin and Claude Giroux are taking their rivalry to the FHL H2H Championship match - their teams clinching their semifinal matches on Sunday; the Misconducts earning a shot at the title (and $110.00) by toppling the Wild Ducks; the Boulder Flyers brushing aside the Ice Hogs to advance to their first-ever H2H final.

Semifinals, Playoffs

Misconducts: 48.8
Wild Ducks: 38.7

Sunday would prove to be anticlimactic as the Wild Ducks failed to muster a charge, the Misconducts coasting to the H2H Championship match with the comprehensive and completely unexpected double-digit victory. The Misconducts will next play for all the marbles in Week 25, the team traveling to New Baltimore, Michigan to take on the Boulder Flyers.

Boulder Flyers: 39.8
Ice Hogs: 29.1

With the entire team underperforming - and Joe Pavelski parked on the shelf - the Ice Hogs fizzled, a near league-worst effort dropping the compliant Hogs into the H2H consolation match; a match in which they will face the Wild Ducks in a winner-take-all battle for the $30.00 prize.

Duncan Keith’s overtime goal has placed the Polar Bears less than 60.0 points behind the still confident but increasingly antsy Wild Ducks, GM Elya’s surging 2nd place squad drawing to within 59.2 points of what would be their 2nd FHL Cup championship.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
Though still large, a 50-something deficit sounds a lot more doable than a deficit of 60-something - and that’s where the Polar Bears currently sit, the free-swinging franchise still with a puncher’s chance heading into the final two weeks of the season.

The Bout for the Money
The Polar Bears continue to hold the $325.00 ticket, leading the 3rd place ($175.00) Boulder Flyers by 11.9 points. The Vegas Vipers are still parked outside of the money, their ducket-deficit growing to 10.2 on Sunday. Week 24 didn’t do the Ice Hogs any favors, GM Henry’s squad tumbling 31.2 points back. The Misconducts still have an outside shot of landing in the green, the H2H finalist trailing 3rd place by 46.8.

The Scrap for the Laughing Bag
It didn’t take Badger Bob long to recover from Saturday’s knee-buckling gut punch, the resilient team outpointing Concussion Junction by 5.0 points on Sunday, the battling Bobs skating to within 41.4 points of sunlight.
