PostSubject: WEEK 5 (thru Thursday)   Fri Nov 02, 2018 12:02 pm

The Polar Bears are basking in sunlight for the first time this season, a solid 14.0 point effort lifting the previously beleaguered team into 10th place overall; a more-manageable 71.7 points behind the first place team and just 41.9 points behind 3rd place money.

Polar Bears: 45.8
SC Cobras: 41.0

While the Polar Bears have plenty of reasons to smile, their H2H situation isn’t one of them. Looking like a lock to win their first match of the season, the Bears were pummeled by the SC Cobras on Thursday - the snakes erupting for a league-best 32.7 points, GM Murphy’s elevating team now just 4.8 points behind their sunbaked yet somewhat stunned opponent.

Wild Ducks: 25.7
Central Red Army: 21.4

On the strength of their 11.7 point Thursday, the Wild Ducks seized control of this match. Once trailing, the Wild Ducks are now 4.3 points better than the Central Red Army, GM Buker’s turnaround team now marching toward what would be their 3rd loss of the season.

Bluliners: 29.1
Misconducts: 21.5

The Bluliners gained another 1.5 points on their opponent, a 10.5 point outing better the 9.0 posted by the Misconducts. With the week heading toward Friday and the weekend, the battle of 3-1 teams still favors the Bluliners and their 7.6 point advantage.

Concussion Junction: 15.0
Badger Bob: 21.1

Badger Bob has a little more breathing room after Thursday’s action, the Bobs outpointing Concussion Junction 10.1 to 5.0, GM Chester’s win-needy team leading by 6.1 heading into a three-game Friday.

Ice Cats: 17.6
Boulder Flyers: 21.2

The Boulder Flyers are coughing up blood but they’re lucky to be playing the recently anointed “worst team in the league,” an 8.2 point Thursday providing the Flyers with a 3.6 point lead over the basemented Ice Cats.

Vegas Vipers: 26.3
Ice Hogs: 32.7

Someone finally told Patrik Laine that the season started, the young sniper ripping three goals on Thursday, his Ice Hogs team launching past their head-to-head opponent, the Hogs now 6.4 points better than the frustrated Vegas Vipers.
