WEEK 24 (thru Saturday)

The Slightly Overweight Lady's trip to Southern California has been postponed, the pudgy one returning to FHL Headquarters after the SC Cobras erupted for a league-best 26.7 points on Saturday, Nicklas Backstrom's (4a, 7.0 pts) not-dead-yet squad drawing to within 22.1 points of the sinking Polar Bears with 15 Bag-shedding days remaining in the season.

The Scrap for the Laughing Bag
When the SC Cobras were removed from life support on Saturday morning the FHL medical staff expected the team to curl up and die. Instead, the snakes sprung back to life, the Cobras now targeting the anemic Polar Bears, GM Elya's squad tumbling into 11th place after netting just 7.3 points on Saturday. The Vegas Vipers are not out of the woods yet, GM Miller sitting uncomfortably in 10th place, just 26.9 points clear of the cellar.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
As Saturdays go, the Week 24 Saturday was mostly uneventful, Badger Bob and the Bluliners combining for 11.0 points. The Bluliners netted 7.0 of those points, GM Hamilton's 2nd place squad closing to within 10.4 points of the front-running Bobs.

The Bout for the Money
The Wild Ducks were the best of the bounty hunters on Saturday, a 7.9 point showing drawing the Ducks to within 18.7 points of the money-holding Central Red Army. The Boulder Flyers conceded ground, the 4th place birds now 10.6 points behind the Army; just 8.1 points better than the 5th place Ducks.

Semifinals, Playoffs
Playoffs are three weeks in length (Weeks 23-25). Prize money is awarded to three teams: the H2H champion ($100.00), runner-up ($70.00) and winner of the consolation match ($30.00).

Wild Ducks: 34.9
Badger Bob: 58.4­
The Wild Ducks have Patrik Laine and four Penguins loaded in their Sunday chamber but it might not be enough to shoot down Badger Bob, the Bobs advantage borderline ginormous at 23.5.

Central Red Army: 68.8
Bluliners: 50.7­
With the winner of the match guaranteed at least $70.00, the smile on GM Buker's face is much wider than the smile displayed by GM Hamilton, the Central Red Army leading by 18.1 - the Bluliners slim H2H championship match hopes resting on a 5-game Sunday.
