Paul, I have Nugent-Hopkins in two other leagues. So have been watching him closer than usual.
He is having what I'd call a mini-breakthrough season. Not at the level he was expected to achieve when drafted. But clearly better than what he has been since entering the NHL. The guy has talent -- good hands and speed. Just does not have level of talent to carry the heavy load for the Oilers that McDavid is now carrying.
Also, remember that Nugent-Hopkins and Eberle were teammates in Edmonton and Eberle was the one who was traded away (as was Taylor Hall to New Jersey.)
Eberle is doing well with the Islanders on the second line and second power play unit. But the top line of Tavares, Bailey and Lee generates a lot of the offense. And those guys are on the No. 1 power play unit along with Leddy at one point and at last look Barzal on the other point.
We'll see how the week progresses. I think this is what makes weekly fantasy interesting, having to decide which player you think will be better for that week. I think this element is missing from daily format where you simply plug in whoever is playing that night.
