Craig Smith (1g, 2a) and Jamie Benn (1g, 2a) were the big guns on Wednesday evening, the Vegas Viper forwards combining to score 10.0 of their team's league-best 17.0 points.

Misconducts: 12.1
Vegas Vipers: 20.8­
The previously sinking Vegas Vipers are soaring once again, the best Wednesday team scooting into 4th place in the overall standings and 8.7 points in front of the slack-jawed Misconducts.

Boulder Flyers: 12.4
Badger Bob: 15.3
With no one skating on Wednesday the Boulder Flyers were easy pickings for Badger Bob - and picked they were, a 6.0 point evening placing the Bobs 2.9 points in front of the thumb-twiddling Flyers.

Bluliners: 14.1
Wild Ducks: 13.4­
With a 9.0 point game from PK Subban stewing on his bench, GM Collard could do little more than grit his teeth as the Bluliners jumped in front, the best of the FHL now leading the Ducks by 0.7.

Ice Cats: 17.7
SC Cobras: 11.8­
The SC Cobras gained 2.0 points on their opponent but they're gonna have to do better if they want to catch and pass the Ice Cats, GM Murphy's upset-minded snakes now trailing by 5.9.

Ice Hogs: 13.3
Central Red Army: 11.0
The Central Red Army departed Wednesday with the same number of points that they had when they arrived, the Ice Hogs nudging in front, GM Henry's pigs now 2.3 points better than the undeployed Army.

Polar Bears: 9.6
Mooses: 11.0
The Mooses are proving to be a difficult nut to crack - not that the Polar Bears are hitting all that hard - GM McCormick's struggling team leading by 1.4 with four days remaining in the week.

I guess tonight in the FHL for Badger Bob is equivalent of a blue moon. As in does not happen often.

If goaltender John Gibson of Anaheim starts, all 12 players in the lineup will be active for Badger Bob tonight. Right now, Gibson is listed as likely. My other goaltender, Hellebucyk of Winnipeg, is confirmed to start.

I am going to have to hit BF with best shot since assume that if all 12 players are in action Thursday, I will have little or no scoring on Friday.

I trust captain Blake Wheeler to have the boys ready to go. Will see if my visit to Tim Horton's around midnight Eastern will be a happy or sad occasion.
