PostSubject: WEEK 8 (thru Saturday)   Sun Nov 26, 2017 1:29 pm

Thanks mostly to the elevated play of Phil Kessel (two goals, two assists, 10.0 points), Badger Bob's Saturday was overflowing with points, the third year franchise moving into sixth place in the overall standings, now just 45.5 points behind the first place Bluliners.

Wild Ducks: 42.1
Badger Bob: 55.3

The Wild Ducks pocketed 9.1 points on Saturday but they were no match for the blitzing Bobs and their 19.0 point excursion. For the Wild Ducks to keep their Grimson title hopes alive they're going to need a point-saturated Sunday, GM Collard's 3-4 team now trailing the 5-2 Bobs by 13.2 points.

Ice Hogs: 64.6
Bluliners: 44.1

While Badger Bob housed the best Saturday player, the Ice Hogs were the best Saturday team, an Alexander Ovechkin hat trick pacing the 21.7 point attack. The influx of points lifted the Hogs into third place overall while also providing the two-time champ with an insurmountable H2H lead; the Hogs now 20.5 points better than the bending Bluliners.

Ice Cats: 65.8
Central Red Army: 35.4

The Ice Cats departed Saturday with 9.0 points - again moving closer to the first place Bluliners - GM Cutshall's on-fire squad now just 18.3 points out of first place. The Central Red Army coughed-up 10.6 points but their deficit remains more than large, now trailing a win by 30.4 points.

SC Cobras: 56.6
Boulder Flyers: 34.7

It was not a good night to be a Boulder Flyers fan as the team carded only 3.0 points. Once again the SC Cobras took advantage of their misfiring opponent, a 10.6 point showing providing GM Murphy and his snakes with an insurmountable 21.9 point advantage.

Polar Bears: 52.5
Misconducts: 48.4

The Polar Bears recaptured the lead on Saturday, racing past the Misconducts on the strength of a 11.2 point Saturday. The Misconducts could only locate 5.7 points, the team not only falling behind the Bears but also stumbling to eighth place in the overall standings.

Vegas Vipers: 36.5
Mooses: 37.3

The Mooses only potted 2.0 points on Saturday but the Vegas Vipers failed to take advantage of their now-in-last-place opponent; a 2.0 point night of their own leaving the Vipers 0.8 points back with only a three-game Sunday left to be played.
