WEEK 5 (FINAL) MjRtcJk
Jamie Benn of the Vegas Vipers and the Misconducts Anze Kopitar couldn't hide their disappointment on Sunday, both teams losing for the first time this season; the Vipers taken down by Badger Bob and the Misconducts upended by the Ice Cats.

Badger Bob: 60.9
Vegas Vipers: 50.6

Badger Bob rallied on the final day of the week to stun the Vegas Vipers, defenseman Nick Leddy applying most of the hurt with a monster 12.0 point game (2g, 1a). While enjoying a post-game box of Timbits at the corner Tim Hortons, GM Chester expressed his satisfaction with his team's upset win. "This was a big win since it was against a division rival, but more importantly, this takes away the lingering bad taste of our opening (week) loss to Bluliners." With the victory the out-of-the-basement Bobs improved to 3-2, now just one game behind the Vegas Vipers in the suddenly-competitive Grimson division.

Ice Cats: 52.3
Misconducts: 49.0

The Misconducts faithful were praying for a big Sunday but their prayers weren't answered, the Ice Cats successfully holding the fort to improve to 4-1 - tied with the Bluliners for the Probert division lead. The Cats lost some overall ground but remain in second place. Every Domi division team lost in Week 5 - and one of those teams was the Misconducts, GM Smalley's outfit now 4-1 on the year; two games in front of the Domi competition. Overall the Misconducts find themselves in fourth place, 32.2 points back.

Bluliners: 67.6
Central Red Army: 41.3

The Bluliners weren't in a merciful mood on Sunday as they unloaded another 12.6 points onto the defenseless Central Red Army, the first place team improving to 4-1 with the comprehensive takedown of GM Buker's sagging squad. The Sunday outburst also padded the Bluliners overall lead as they now sit 26.2 points in front of the second place team. The Army meanwhile will try to regroup in Week 6, the 2-3 team now two games back in the Domi division; 53.1 points back overall.

Wild Ducks: 50.4
Boulder Flyers: 41.0

The Wild Ducks ultimately came alive after a troubling start to the match, GM Collard's team razing the Boulder Flyers in the final days of the week. With the win the third place Ducks improved to 2-3, now just two games behind the Vegas Vipers in the Grimson. The Boulder Flyers meanwhile are still searching for their first win of the season, a league-worst 41.0 point performance tagging the blundering birds with yet another loss.

Polar Bears: 52.9
SC Cobras: 51.4

Like the Boulder Flyers, the SC Cobras are still searching for the promised land, GM Murphy's team slumping to 0-5 after falling to the Polar Bears. With the victory the Bears improved to 2-3, two games back in the Grimson. Overall the Bears closed the week in seventh place, 55.8 points back. The Cobras are once again sitting with the rats in the cellar, the fizzling third year franchise now 64.2 points back.

Ice Hogs: 44.4
Mooses: 42.9

The Ice Hogs hung on to defeat the Mooses, GM Henry's team improving to 3-2 on the year; only one game behind the Probert division leaders. The overall standings find the Hogs cuddled-up in eighth place, now 56.3 points back. The Mooses slumped to 2-3 and sit two games behind the Domi-leading Misconducts. The overall weather is also starting to cloud, the once-hot team hot no more, the Mooses dispatched to eleventh place, a full 71.1 points behind the best team in the league.
