With eleven FHL championships between them, many thought the match between the Wild Ducks and Boulder Flyers would be a heavyweight gem. After three days the match has been anything but, the two veteran franchises posting the two worst scores of the week.Boulder Flyers: 7.8
Wild Ducks: 9.0The sagging fourth place Wild Ducks limped past the sedentary Boulder Flyers on Wednesday, the Ducks and their second lowest score of the week leading the even-worse Boulder Flyers by a probably insurmountable 1.2 points.
SC Cobras: 26.9
Polar Bears: 17.6
While the FHL faithful were distracted by the Ducks/Flyers catfight, the SC Cobras escaped from the FHL basement, Cory Schneider (37 save, 7.4 point shutout) leading the evacuation, GM Murphy's team potting a league-best 16.3 points.
Badger Bob: 21.8
Vegas Vipers: 21.6Despite playing better in recent days, Badger Bob was unceremoniously dumped back into the FHL cellar, the team again lodged in last place overall. The Bobs H2H fortunes remain positive however, a 3.8 point evening providing GM Chester with a 0.2 point advantage in this pivotal Grimson division clash.
Bluliners: 21.0
Central Red Army: 13.0The Central Red Army were the only team of the two to collect points on an otherwise quiet five-game Wednesday (quiet for teams not named SC Cobras), the Army moving 3.0 points closer to the Bluliners in both the overall standings and this non-divisional rumble.
Misconducts: 18.0
Ice Cats: 19.2
The undefeated Misconducts were the beneficiary of a 35 save, 7.0 point shutout from Corey Crawford, GM Smalley's third place team outpointing the second place Ice Cats by 2.5 points - the Misconducts manageable deficit now even more manageable at 1.2 points.
Mooses: 18.8
Ice Hogs: 16.0The Ice Hogs were one of three teams to walk away from Wednesday carrying a goose egg, GM Henry's squad still stuck at 16.0 points. The Mooses weren't much better, carding only 3.0 points - the number however did provide the Mooses with a lead as they now sit 2.8 rows in front of the Hogs.
