Auston Matthews powered his team back into the chase for the FHL Cup, the rookie forward depositing 7.0 points (2g, 1a) on Saturday, the Ice Hogs now trailing the hobbled Wild Ducks by just 19.2 points.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
The Wild Ducks limped away from Saturday carrying just 2.0 points. The opportunistic Ice Hogs barreled through the open door, a sterling 14.6 point effort drawing the team to within range of what would be their third FHL championship.

The Bout for the Money
The Misconducts have a firmer grasp on the money after an 8.0 point Saturday, GM Smalley's 3rd place team now 8.5 points better than the out-of-the-money Bluliners. The 5th place Central Red Army took another step back, the retreating squad now 14.9 points behind the money. For the Ice Cats, greener pastures are 16.4 points in the distance.

The Scrap for the Laughing Bag
The Boulder Flyers netted 12.8 points on Saturday but remain locked in the basement - though ground level is closer, the birds trailing the Pipes by just 1.3 points. The Silicon Valley Slashers swung and missed on Saturday, the sinking team just 7.9 points clear of the basement. The SC Cobras have also backpedalled their way into Laughing Bag contention, the sagging squad currently 17.7 points from the cellar door.
