Subject: WEEK 14 (thru Monday) Tue Jan 10, 2017 11:41 am
Acquiring both John Tavares and Alexander Ovechkin in a mid-season trade two years ago, the Wild Ducks rode the pair to within 4.3 points of the FHL Cup. Two trades this year have once again put Tavares and Ovechkin in a Wild Ducks uniform, GM Collard hoping for similar magic in 2016-17, the seven-time champion trailing the Ice Hogs by 41.0 points with 12 weeks remaining in the season.
Wild Ducks: 5.0 Between the Pipes: 1.3 Trailing the final playoff spot by two games, every match is "must win" for Between the Pipes. After Monday the Pipes are also in "must score more points" mode, trailing the Wild Ducks by 3.7.
Central Red Army: 3.0 Ice Hogs: 4.7 The FHL hospital stocked with some of their best players, the banged-up Ice Hogs have their hands full with the Central Red Army. So far so good for GM Henry's limping first place squad, the Hogs currently nursing a 1.7 point lead.
Misconducts: 5.2 Ice Cats: 0.0 The Misconducts drew first blood in this important Probert division clash, the playoff hungry Ice Cats trailing GM Smalley's 2nd place team by 5.2 points.
SC Cobras: 7.0 Silicon Valley Slashers: 9.6 Bragging rights at the next family function are up for grabs as the brothers Murphy lock horns in Week 14. After one day the Silicon Valley Slashers, 6-7, are slightly ahead, leading the 7-5-1 SC Cobras by 2.6.
Badger Bob: 3.0 Polar Bears: 0.0 This Grimson division match will be a heated affair, both teams toeing the edge of the H2H playoffs. With six long days remaining in the week, the Bobs are slightly better, leading GM Elya's Bears by 3.0 points.
Boulder Flyers: 7.9 Bluliners: 3.0 With absolutely no reason to be confident, the Boulder Flyers are confident heading into their Week 14 bout - the Bluliners being one of just two teams the Flyers have beaten this season.
