PostSubject: WEEK 10 (FINAL)   Mon Dec 19, 2016 8:48 am

Trailing the entire week - down by as many as 18.6 points - the Silicon Valley Slashers rallied on the final day, Scott Darling's fifth consecutive victory spearheading the Sunday assault, the Slashers' H2H record now square at 5-5.

Silicon Valley Slashers: 44.2
Central Red Army: 42.3

Despite being lodged at the bottom of the stacked Domi division, the Silicon Valley Slashers now hold the 7th and final H2H playoff spot; currently one game better than Badger Bob and Between the Pipes. Overall, the Slashers remain in 9th place, 89.6 points behind the league leader. The Central Red Army stumbled to 6-4 in defeat, GM Buker's troops now 2 games behind the Domi-leading Misconducts. The overall picture is also a tad bleaker. Once trailing by as few as 53.2 points, the CRA now sit 66.4 rows from the main stage.

SC Cobras: 40.9
Ice Hogs: 40.9

In a match that could have significant playoff implications, the SC Cobras and Ice Hogs skated to a 40.9 point tie; a rare occurrence in the age of the decimal system. The tie leaves the Probert division Ice Hogs just 1.5 games in front of the Bluliners. The wire-to-wire leader was able to fend off the 2nd place Misconducts, GM Henry's lead still scant at 4.7 points. The SC Cobras are now 6-3-1 on the season, GM Murphy's team now the sole owner of 2nd place in the Domi. With 416.0 points to date, the 6th place Cobras trail the 1st place Hogs by 83.1 points.

Misconducts: 49.5
Wild Ducks: 32.9

GM Smalley spent Sunday evening thinking, "What the hell do I have to do to catch the Ice Hogs?" With the Hogs in their sight, the Misconducts fired and missed once again. It wasn't all bad news however as the Misconducts did win their match, their 8-2 record now tops among the 12 FHL teams. The Wild Ducks endured a mostly miserable week, their H2H mark now 7-3. Once in position to make a run at what would be their 8th FHL championship, the 3rd place Ducks are doing a slow fade, now 43.4 points behind the leader.

Badger Bob: 48.3
Ice Cats: 27.5

After a falling in Week 9, Badger Bob collected a much needed win, a solid 48.3 point showing providing GM Chester with his 4th victory of the season. With a record of 4-6, the Bobs are now just one game back of a playoff spot. With 412.7 total points, Badger Bob sits on the 8th rung of the FHL ladder. The Ice Cats stumbled to 3-7; 4.5 games behind the Probert division leader - yet only two games short of the H2H playoffs. The overall standings find the Cats nestled in 7th place, 84.2 points back.

Polar Bears: 43.3
Boulder Flyers: 27.0

The battle of the two worst H2H teams was a lopsided affair. The Polar Bears didn't follow the 'You Suck" script, posting a respectable 43.3 points. The Boulder Flyers followed the script exactly, the worst H2H team posting the worst score of the week. With the win, the Polar Bears improved to 3-7 - now four games behind the Grimson division leader; two games short of the H2H playoffs. The Boulder Flyers are 1-9 for the season, a shitload of games from a playoff berth.

Bluliners: 44.7
Between the Pipes: 36.3

The Bluliners defeated Between the Pipes, GM Hamilton's team now a respectable 6-4 on the season. The numbers place the Bluliners 1.5 games back in the Probert division. The overall standings find the three-time champion in 5th place overall; 68.0 points from the top. Between the Pipes are now 4-6 for the season, just one game back of the final H2H playoff spot. Lodged in the cellar for much of the year, daylight is beckoning, the Pipes now just 2.5 steps from basement exit.

WEEK 11
Between the Pipes v. Misconducts
Ice Hogs v. Silicon Valley Slashers
Ice Cats v. SC Cobras
Bluliners v. Polar Bears
Central Red Army v. Wild Ducks
Boulder Flyers v. Badger Bob

Definitely happy with the tie, this week had quite a few skaters with only 2 games.. I do think the 1st place run will end this week..

You're right.. Zero confidence the Ice Hogs can stay in the driver's seat the entire time.. Misconducts would be ahead if they played Mason during his hot streak and probably have the better team(esp after the Hogs lost Stamkos)..
