PostSubject: WEEK 8 (thru Thursday)   Fri Dec 02, 2016 12:49 pm

Kevin Shattenkirk (2g, 2a) and Leon Draisaitl (2g, 1a) lead an all out assault on the Ice Hogs, an explosive 26.0 point Thursday drawing the two-time champion Misconducts to within 11.8 points of first place.

Badger Bob: 18.8
Misconducts: 37.6

The Misconducts have doubled-up their H2H opponent, GM Smalley's eye-on-the-big-prize team now leading Badgered Bob by 18.8 points.

Ice Hogs: 24.7
Between the Pipes: 25.5

With one eye on the Misconducts and the other on Between the Pipes, the Hogs are planning their strategy for the remainder of the week. On GM Henry's sweat-drenched list: 1) How to (once again) beat back the advances of the Misconducts. 2) How to overcome a H2H deficit and avoid an embarrassing "worst beats first" upset.

Central Red Army: 34.0
Polar Bears: 28.3

Vladimir Tarasenko erupted for 12.0 points (3g, 1a), leading his Central Red Army team to a huge 17.0 point Thursday. As a result, the Central Red Army vaulted into 4th place overall, now trailing the first place Ice Hogs by only 57.3 points.

SC Cobras: 14.4
Boulder Flyers: 27.6

The Boulder Flyers gained an additional 8.4 points on the stalled SC Cobras, GM Morgan's underdog team now leading this H2H duel by a hearty 13.2 points.

Ice Cats: 26.0
Silicon Valley Slashers: 33.4

The Ice Cats potted 18.0 points on Thursday, thanks mostly to Connor McDavid (3a) and Jack Eichel (2g). The Silicon Valley Slashers bent a bit but they did not break, a 12.0 point outing keeping GM Murphy's team on top.

Bluliners: 11.0
Wild Ducks: 16.4

After four days of play this highly anticipated Original Six match is somewhat of a dud, the quiet Wild Ducks leading the even quieter Bluliners by 5.4 points.
