PostSubject: WEEK 5 (FINAL)   Mon Nov 14, 2016 11:08 am

With team MVP Carey Price given a rare day off, Badger Bob were outgunned on the final day of the week, the Wild Ducks 7.0 point closer more than enough to hand the Bobs their second loss of the season.

Wild Ducks: 56.0
Badger Bob: 49.4

The Wild Ducks were the best team of the week, GM Collard's crew improving to 4-1; tops among the four teams in the Grimson division. More importantly, the seven-time FHL Champion is poised to pounce on the Ice Hogs, trailing the first place team by just 22.9 points. Badger Bob stumbled to 3-2 in defeat, now one game back in the Grimson. Overall the Bobs are still sitting pretty, currently nestled in 3rd place, 46.2 points back.

Misconducts: 34.5
Boulder Flyers: 33.4

The Misconducts rallied for 6.0 points on Sunday, stunning the Boulder Flyers. GM Smalley's team improved to 4-1 with the comeback win, a record that has placed them on top of the Domi division. The overall standings find the Misconducts in 4th place, 48.5 points back. The Boulder Flyers lost for the fourth time, GM Morgan's grounded birds now 1-4. The overall standings are nearly as ugly, the Boulder Flyers now wedged in 8th place.

Central Red Army: 46.9
Ice Cats: 41.3

The Central Red Army fired blanks on Sunday but accumulated enough "Monday thru Saturday" points to secure the win, GM Buker's team improving to 3-2; one game back of the Domi division-leading Misconducts. Overall, the Central Red Army remain in the thick of the FHL Cup race, nestled in 5th place, 57.9 points back. The Ice Cats tumbled to 1-4, GM Cutshall's crew sitting next to the Boulder Flyers in the basement of the Probert division. The big boy standings find the Cats in 9th place, 84.3 points shy of the league-leader.

Ice Hogs: 43.9
Bluliners: 33.9

The Ice Hogs pocketed 7.0 points on Sunday, more than enough to repel the Bluliners. With the win the Ice Hogs improved to 4-1; the only team in the Probert division with a winning record. In first place since the puck dropped in October, the Ice Hogs are now looking over their shoulder, GM Henry's cushion no longer comfortable. The Bluliners slipped under .500 with the loss, their H2H mark now 2-3. A five-time champion, the Bluliners closed the week in 7th place, 79.6 points from the top.

SC Cobras: 50.5
Polar Bears: 31.0

The SC Cobras were the best team on Sunday, departing the final day with 10.0 points. All told, the snakes were the second best team of the week, GM Murphy's once-quiet team vaulting into 6th place. H2H-wise, the Cobras improved to 2-3; two games back in the Domi. Last week the Polar Bears were the best team. This week the bipolar Bears were the worst, a 31.0 point effort dropping the defending champion into 10th place overall; their H2H mark now 2-3.

Between the Pipes: 34.3
Silicon Valley Slashers: 31.0

Between the Pipes weren't good in Week 5 but they were better than the Silicon Valley Slashers, GM Miller's team improving to 3-2; one game back in the Grimson. Despite the win, the Pipes remain trapped in the FHL basement, the 12th place team now 115.5 points behind the front running Hogs. The Slashers are now 2-3 on the season, two games back in the Grimson division. Lodged in 11th place overall, the Slashers trail the Hogs by 94.7 points, their seat 20.8 steps from the basement door.
