WEEK 3 (thru Tuesday) TbVjmO3
The first place Ice Hogs were galloping again on Tuesday, lead horse Steven Stamkos contributing 10.0 (2g, 2a) of his team's 22.0 points.

Ice Hogs: 23.0
Central Red Army: 12.4

In addition to the points donated by Stamkos, the streaking Ice Hogs received a 40 save win from Ben Bishop, all padding GM Henry's lead in the overall standings. Devan Dubnyk was the Central Red Army's best player, the netminder backstopping a 27 save, 5.4 point shutout. All told in this battle of the unbeatens, the Hogs lead is borderline comfortable at 10.6.

Polar Bears: 13.0
Badger Bob: 13.1

The Polar Bears are no longer the worst team in the land. A squinting GM Elya - sequestered in the basement since the start of the season - was happy to see Sidney Crosby back in the lineup, the concussed star pocketing his first goal of the season. The Bears potted 11.0 points in all, 3.0 more than were acquired by Badger Bob - the Bears trailing GM Chester's squad by a hair.

Between the Pipes: 3.4
Wild Ducks: 16.7

Taylor Hall was the best Wild Duck on Tuesday, netting 7.0 points (2g, 1a). The Wild Ducks took home 10.7 points in all, more than enough to turn back Between the Pipes. The Pipes carded a league-low 2.4 points, the struggling second year franchise escorted to the dreary confines of the FHL cellar; GM Miller now squatted 71.5 points behind the first place Ice Hogs.

Misconducts: 21.9
Ice Cats: 17.9

The Misconducts enjoyed a 19.9 point outing but couldn't keep pace with the streaking Ice Hogs, GM Smalley's team falling 34.7 points back. Defender Mark Streit was the best Misconduct with 9.0 points (1g, 2a). The Ice Cats were lead by the play of Nikita Kucherov and his 8.0 point game (1g, 3a). When the ice spray settled, the Cats found themselves 4.0 points behind the Misconducts and 60.0 points shy of the Hogs.

SC Cobras: 7.9
Silicon Valley Slashers: 9.5

The Silicon Valley Slashers posted a quiet 6.0 points on Tuesday - all the points compliments of Ryan Suter and his 1g/1a game. The SC Cobras weren't much better as they harvested just 7.9 points, the 4th place snakes falling 50.1 points behind the top spot. Despite the lethargic play, this H2H battle remains close, the Slashers leading brother Murphy by 1.6.

Bluliners: 14.4
Boulder Flyers: 16.8

In search of their first win, Oliver Ekman-Larsson provided the Boulder Flyers with some much needed points, the shoot-first-never-pass defenseman bagging two goals. The Flyers lead however isn't that grand, thanks to the play of Bluliner Craig Anderson and his 22 save, 4.4 point shutout. With five days remaining in the week, the win-starved Boulder Flyers lead the Bluliners by 2.4.

Funny how hockey players equate losing teeth to some sort of Badge of Honor (re: Bishop smiling). Most regular day folk would be emotionally wrecked - and subsequently need years of counseling. lol!
