WEEK 18 (FINAL) YmIvIFY
Needing a victory to stay one game behind the Bears in the H2H title chase, Badger Bob was rocked by the Wild Ducks late Friday, a Cam Talbot assist providing GM Collard’s Ducks with the improbable comeback win.

Wild Ducks: 38.6
Badger Bob: 37.2

GM Collard hasn’t had much to smile about during 2015-16 campaign but he was smiling on Friday. Playing the role of spoiler, the Wild Ducks rallied in the dying hours of the week, handing the heavily favored Bobs just their 7th loss of the season. In defeat, Badger Bob slipped two games behind the Polar Bears with six weeks remaining in the season. The Wild Ducks meanwhile collected win number six ($12.00), the victory unfortunately doing little to improve their lot in either the overall or H2H standings.

Polar Bears: 43.4
Bluliners: 24.8

The Polar Bears goaltending was double-trouble on Friday as Tuukka Rask and Ben Bishop combined for 8.1 points. The blizzard of points buried the already dead Bluliners even deeper, GM Elya improving to 13-5 with the walk-in-the-park win. Ahead by a comfortable two games in the H2H title chase, the Bears advantage is even more comfortable overall, leading the 2nd place SC Cobras by 49.9 points. The Bluliners meanwhile are heading in the opposite direction, GM Hamilton’s fallout squad now 65.7 points back.

Silicon Valley Slashers: 47.0
Boulder Flyers: 46.6

The Boulder Flyers were pickled by Marc-Edouard Vlasic in the Friday nightcap, the Slashers defenseman scoring his teams lone goal to provide GM Murphy with a narrow 0.4 victory. The win upped the Silicon Valley Slashers record to 6-12 while the Boulder Flyers were rudely shoved to 9-9. Overall the Slashers remain in 6th place, trailing the money (3rd place) by just 22.3. The Boulder Flyers sit 87.3 points behind the Polar Bears, their seat currently Rung No. 7 on the FHL Ladder.

Central Red Army: 42.4
Misconducts: 36.5

Don’t look now but the rejuvenated Central Red Army have won back-to-back matches, toppling the favored Misconducts by 5.9 points. The victory deposited another $2.00 into GM Buker’s FHL account, their balance now $12.00. Overall the Army remain entrenched in the basement, now 43.6 points shy of daylight (11th place). The banged-up Misconducts fell to 9-9 in defeat, now four games behind the H2H leader. Overall the Misconducts remain in the money, GM Smalley’s 3rd place team now 57.8 points shy of what would be their third FHL Cup.

SC Cobras: 34.1
Ice Hogs: 32.8

If the Ice Hogs had any thoughts of defending their H2H championship, those hopes were dashed by the SC Cobras, GM Murphy’s squad skating to a narrow 1.3 point victory. With the win, the snakes improved to 9-9 while the Ice Hogs slipped to the same 9-9 record. Both teams trail the Polar Bears by four games. The Cobras retained their 2nd place position in the overall standings, though their deficit grew to a troubling 49.9. The Ice Hogs departed the week in 9th place, the money now 48.7 points in the distance.

Between the Pipes: 46.4
Ice Cats: 21.6

Between the Pipes had absolutely no trouble with the declawed Ice Cats, GM Miller improving to 11-7 for the season. The victory moved the Pipes into a tie for 2nd place in the H2H standings, two games behind the Bears. The overall standings find Between the Pipes comfortably nestled in 5th place, trailing the Bears by 77.5 points; just 19.7 points behind the money. The Ice Cats slumped to 11-7 for the season, their home in the overall standings no longer a five-star hotel, lodged in 10th place, 107.8 points back.

WEEK 18 (FINAL) Empty
PostSubject: Not meant to be   WEEK 18 (FINAL) EmptySat Feb 27, 2016 1:13 pm

Sometimes, it is not meant to be. This was one of those times, considering the improbable activity in Edmonton at Anaheim, beginning with the GOALTENDER CHANGE in the afternoon from Nilsson to Talbot, who had lost five games in a row. And then Talbot gets AN ASSIST on the lone Edmonton goal.

Just like Donald Trump, telling it like it is. A REALLY tough loss, which is partly due to lineup decisions by me.

Congrats to Wild Ducks.

that G Nilsson of Edmonton was traded to St. Louis.

So that is why Talbot was reinserted into the lineup against Anaheim.

That's the way it goes. I assume that if I play fantasy sports long enough I'll be on the positive end of such a situation. As said in prior message, was not meant to be.

I feel your pain. Twisted Evil

San Jose scored one lousy goal. Figured it had to be either Pavelski, Thornton, Marleau, Burns or Couture. Right!? NOPE! Marc-Fricking Vlasic. affraid
