PostSubject: WEEK 16 (thru Saturday)   Sun Feb 07, 2016 12:41 pm

Virtually every Polar Bears player was in "kick-ass" mode on Saturday as the team set a FHL record for most points scored in a single day, Erik Karlsson and company combining for 40.7 points, eclipsing the previous record of 37.8.

SC Cobras: 37.5
Polar Bears: 72.4

When GM Murphy's ears stop ringing he'll learn that he is now sitting in a huge hole, the Polar Bears now leading this H2H mismatch by 34.9. The Polar Bear eruption - lead by the play of Karlsson (4a), Plekanec (1g, 3a), Anisimov (1g, 3a) and Weber (1g, 1a) - has also placed GM Elya's squad comfortably in front in the overall standings, the Cup-hungry Bears now leading the 2nd place Bluliners by 34.6; the 3rd place Cobras by 40.7.

Bluliners: 45.0
Ice Hogs: 65.7

A 11.3 point Saturday is typically a good night. Not the case for the Bluliners on Saturday as they were buried by the Polar Bear avalanche. Despite trailing by more than thirty points, GM Hamilton is still thinking "FHL Cup," the 24 week season far from over. This H2H match is also far from over as the Ice Hogs lead was trimmed slightly, GM Henry's team now leading by 20.7.

Between the Pipes: 44.2
Silicon Valley Slashers: 25.0

After four days of futility the Silcon Valley Slashers finally uncovered some points, a 14.4 point Saturday drawing GM Murphy's squad to within 19.2 of Between the Pipes. Like the eleven other teams however, the Slashers saw their Cup-hopes dashed by the Polar Bear blizzard, their deficit now 76.8 very big points. The Pipes trail by 85.0.

Badger Bob: 27.4
Misconducts: 38.8

With fewer total points than the Polar Bears collected on Saturday, both Badger Bob and the Misconducts slid further south in the standings; the Misconducts now trailing by 50.0 points; the Bobs by 98.8. Despite the ugly numbers this H2H confrontation remains up for grabs, the 2nd place (H2H) Bobs trailing GM Smalley's squad by 11.4.

Central Red Army: 34.9
Wild Ducks: 57.2

The Wild Ducks bagged 23.0 points on Saturday and fell 17.7 points further behind the first place team <insert stunned face here>. GM Collard's team did however increase their lead over their H2H opponent, the Letang-fueled Ducks now 22.3 points better than the Central Red Army. Overall, the Ducks inched closer to 10th place while the Army remain securely locked in the FHL basement.

Boulder Flyers: 39.1
Ice Cats: 44.7

Despite collecting only 9.8 points on Saturday, the Boulder Flyers moved closer to the sputtering Ice Cats, GM Morgan's team now trailing the second best H2H team by just 5.6. Overall-wise, the Boulder Flyers situation was downgraded from "ugly" to "damn ugly," the birds now trailing the front-running Bears by 129.8. The Ice Cats sit 80.9 points back.
