The gravy was flowing on Thursday as defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen netted a hat trick (15.0 points), his once-dead Boulder Flyers team bolting into eighth place in the overall standings.Between the Pipes: 32.8
Boulder Flyers: 63.8 In last place and 118.0 points back on Saturday, the Boulder Flyers now find themselves in the thick of things, trailing the last money spot (3rd place) by just 41.2 points; the first place Polar Bears by 86.5. The Flyers are now a lock to post their fourth H2H win of the season, GM Morgan's squad leading the tenth place Between the Pipes by 31.0.
Bluliners: 25.2
Misconducts: 42.6The Bluliners did an about-face on Thursday, potting 15.0 points to more than double their Week 9 output. The point infusion lifted the Bluliners into fifth place in the overall standings, 79.2 points behind the division leader. H2H-wise the news remains bad, GM Hamiton's team still trailing the now-in-third-place Misconducts by a healthy margin, their deficit 17.4.
Wild Ducks: 26.6
Silicon Valley Slashers: 33.6Both teams endured a quiet Thursday, the Silicon Valley Slashers collecting just 5.3; the Wild Ducks, 3.0. As a result the Slashers lost ground in the Cup-chase standings and now sit 33.2 rows behind the first place Polar Bears. The Wild Ducks slumped into tenth place overall, their hole more than a century deep at 103.9.
Polar Bears: 50.4
Ice Cats: 20.8After a relatively quiet four days, the Polar Bear Express is again up and running, a 10.0 point Thursday providing GM Elya with a bit more breathing room in the overall standings. The first place Bears, 6-2, will assuredly remain on top of the H2H standings as they currently lead the now-in-ninth-place Ice Cats by 29.6.
Redliners: 40.2
SC Cobras: 50.6The Redliners were the better team on Thursday, harvesting 5.5 points compared to the SC Cobras haul of 1.8. Even though the Reds gained ground on the Cobras, GM Megan is still cruising toward her fifth loss of the season, trailing GM Murphy's 3-5 team by 10.4 with Friday the only day remaining on the Week 9 docket.
Badger Bob: 47.5
Ice Hogs: 36.9Badger Bob and the Ice Hogs had little to show for their Thursday effort, both GM's leaving the day with a frown on their face and 1.0 point in their pocket. The slim showing dropped the Bob's into fourth place overall, 4.3 behind the third place Misconducts. The Hogs meanwhile sunk deeper into the basement, GM Henry's two-time champion squad now 113.1 points back.
