| Last week GM Hamilton may have dreamed that Evgeni Malkin was a member of his Bluliners team. That dream became reality on Saturday when the Bluliner brass traded for the struggling star; a trade that may have bolstered the Bluliiners chances of winning their fifth FHL Cup, the suddenly hot Malikin collecting 8.0 points (2g, 2a) on Tuesday.Polar Bears: 28.0 Bluliners: 31.7A 15.0 Tuesday powered the Bluliners past the Polar Bears, GM Hamilton's 4th place team now leading the first place Bears by 3.7. The overall standings find the Bluliners now just 13.3 points from first place. Despite only carding 6.0, the Bears padded their overall lead over the second place Slashers, now 7.5. Ice Hogs: 32.8 SC Cobras: 25.9After leaping north in the standings, the Ice Hogs are once again sliding in the wrong direction, a weak 1.4 Tuesday dropping GM Henry's team into 11th place, 63.1 behind the first place Polar Bears. The Hogs however are still the best of this H2H pairing, leading the 10th place SC Cobras by 6.9. Between the Pipes: 28.2 Ice Cats: 25.0Like many of the birds in Michigan, the Ice Cats are migrating south for the winter, GM Cutshall's once competitive team now in 7th place overall, 39.5 points back. The Pipes were good for 7.5 on Tuesday and now lead the struggling Ice Cats by 3.2. Boulder Flyers: 31.0 Silicon Valley Slashers: 26.6 The Boulder Flyers were dumped in the basement yet again, a weak 2.0 effort leaving the defending champion in 12th place, 65.7 from the top. The Slashers meanwhile continue to chip away at the Flyers H2H lead, GM Murphy's 1-4 squad now just 7.5 back. Badger Bob: 26.9 Wild Ducks: 28.1Kris Letang took a rare trip to Bonusland, collecting 2.0 assists (3.0 points). The performance helped his Wild Ducks team to a 9.0 Tuesday; a number that has placed GM Collard's 9th place squad in front of Badger Bob, leading by 1.2. The Bobs netted 6.6, GM Chester's 5th place outfit now 23.1 back in the Cup-chase standings. Misconducts: 26.9 Redliners: 33.4Joe Pavelski was the best Misconduct, collecting 4.0 points (1g, 2a), but it was not enough to keep pace with the Redliners. Pekka Rinne's 38 save win paced the Redliners attack, GM Megan closing the day with 14.7 points. H2H-wise the Redliners are better than the 4-1 Misconducts, leading by 6.5 with three days remaining in the week. LINK: Standings |
