WEEK 6 (thru Saturday) Nsin8sZ
Drafted in the 3rd round, John Klingberg, points-wise, is currently the best defenseman in the NHL, the Boulder Flyer rearguard hoarding 8.0 (1g, 2a) on Saturday.

Boulder Flyers: 23.0
Silicon Valley Slashers: 12.6

On the strength of Klingberg's evening and Jakob "do you believe in miracles" Voracek's first goal of the season, the Boulder Flyers posted the best Saturday score. Despite the pleasant production GM Morgan isn't smiling as his Flyers, last week, enjoyed a league-best weekend before diving headfirst into the shitter. The Slashers meanwhile are looking at another uphill H2H climb, the 2nd place franchise trailing Morgan's birds by 10.4.

Polar Bears: 15.0
Bluliners: 9.7

The fourth place Bluliners retooled at the GM meeting, adding Evgeni Malkin to their forward mix. Time will tell if the move will bear fruit but there was no fruit to be found on Saturday as Malkin was held in check, his new Bluliners team departing the day with 9.7 points. The first place Polar Bears enjoyed a solid Saturday, GM Elya's 15.0 output leaving his Bears 5.3 in front of their H2H opponent and 8.5 in front of GM Murphy's Slashers.

Ice Hogs: 20.6
SC Cobras: 12.9

Cory Schneider and his 21 save shutout (4.2 points) paced the Ice Hogs attack, GM Henry's team carding the second best Saturday score. Overall the Hogs remain in 11th place but their predicament is not as bad as it appears, the two-time champion just 6.3 points behind the 8th place Pipes. The Cobras meanwhile are still trying to get off the schneid, GM Murphy's warm and cold team currently in 9th place overall, 60.7 back.

Badger Bob: 7.2
Wild Ducks: 13.1

The Wild Ducks were 5.9 better than Badger Bob but it was GM Collard who grabbed the short straw, his Wild Ducks team falling into the FHL basement on Saturday. On a positive note, the seven-time champion Ducks are a hair short of daylight, trailing the 11th place Hogs by just 0.3. The Bobs uncorked 7.2 on Day 1 of the seven day week, GM Chester's 5th place team now a rather girthy 29.8 behind the first place Bears.

Misconducts: 5.0
Redliners: 16.7

After spending a good chunk of time in first place, the Misconduct woes continue, GM Smalley's 3rd place team posting the lowest Saturday score. The thin number has dropped the Misconducts 17.9 behind the front running Bears. Having won only two of their first five H2H matches, the upset-minded Redliners are on track to even their score, GM Megan's Reds currently leading the sputtering Misconducts by 11.7.

Between the Pipes: 17.7
Ice Cats: 7.0

Between the Pipes were once again the recipient of a zamboni-load of Colorado points, the duo of Nathan MacKinnon (2g, 1a) and Matt Duchene (1g, 2a) combining for 9.0. The remainder of the team anted-up 8.7 as GM Miller's 8th place squad raced to an early 10.7 H2H lead. On Saturday the coughing Cats carded only 7.0, their current FHL condition on the verge of being downgraded from "serious" to "critical."
