WEEK 3 (thru Tuesday) DvzATzF
GM Collard's 8th place squad is still skating on thin ice but for one day everything was right in Ducksville, waiver wire acquisition Ryan Suter (center) tweaking the twine for 9.0 points (2g) on Tuesday.

Ice Cats: 27.9
Wild Ducks: 21.1

With Ryan Getzlaf carted to the shelf and Corey Perry still misfiring, GM Collard has few reasons to smile. The play of Ryan Suter however did bring a smirk to the face of the Duck boss, his Wild Ducks team now just 6.8 behind their H2H opponent. With only 1.0 point to show for Tuesday, the Ice Cats jumped down from the top spot and now reside in 3rd place in the overall standings.

SC Cobras: 27.0
Silicon Valley Slashers: 20.9

The SC Cobras continue to play musical chairs with the Ice Hogs, GM Murphy's team once again taking up residence in the FHL basement. The good news: the upset-minded Cobras are still beating their Week 3 opponent, the snakes currently 6.1 better than the second place (overall) Slashers.

Ice Hogs: 24.7
Redliners: 20.6

The Ice Hogs were the best Tuesday team, a 14.1 effort lifting the Hogs into 11th place overall, 1.7 clear of the basement and 42.5 shy of the top spot. Roberto Luongo was the best Hog, donating a 31 save win and a 3.0 point assist. The 7th place Redliners netted 9.3 on Day 4, moving to within 20.6 of first place.

Bluliners: 26.4
Boulder Flyers: 14.4

On the strength of a Tuukka Rask shutout the Boulder Flyers inched closer to the Bluliners, their deficit still fairly large at 12.0. With 8.8 points in all, the Flyers remain lodged in 10th place in the overall standings, a can-I-borrow-your-binoculars distance from first place. The Bluiners unwrapped 6.0 on Tuesday and remain in the Cup-hunt, just 17.9 behind the first place Bobs.

Between the Pipes: 16.2
Misconducts: 18.8

Not a ton of points being generated in this match yet the contest remains close, the Misconducts leading Between the Pipes by 2.6 with three days remaining in the week. While the Pipes are closer to the FHL basement than the FHL attic, the Misconducts are still sitting pretty, just 5.9 back of the top spot.

Polar Bears: 19.5
Badger Bob: 25.8

Badger Bob was presented with another win from Jonathan Quick, the expansion franchise now sitting on the top rung of the FHL ladder and 6.3 in front of their Week 3 H2H opponent. The 3rd place Polar Bears collected 6.5 on Tuesday. The FHL's 'Belle Tire Match of the Week' reporter was at Tuesday's game and filed the following report:

In a head to head fantasy format, it is key to win head to head matchups with the opponent. Such was the case tonight as Badger Bob have G Jonathan Quick active and Polar Bears have G Ondrej Pavelec. Both goaltenders were strong tonight. But it was advantage Quick, who stopped 24 of 25 shots in the Kings 4-1 win. Quick remains on fire with this being his fifth win on the trot. In those games, he has allowed only five goals. There are still four days to go in (the week) and anything can happen. But Quick is a big reason why Badger Bob are competitive. Also a thumbs up to Patrice Bergeron who maintained his point a game scoring pace by getting an assist on the fourth goal in the 6-0 wipeout of Arizona.
