Jamie Benn was good again on Saturday, the Slasher forward depositing two goals (4.0); enough points to lift his expansion franchise squad into first place in the overall standings.

Silicon Valley Slashers: 12.7
The first meeting of expansion teams is thus far a barn-burner, the now-in-first-place Silicon Valley Slashers leading the now-out-of-the-basement SC Cobras by a mere 0.5.

Ice Hogs: 6.6
Redliners: 7.3
The Redliners were relatively quiet on Saturday but they corralled enough points to rise about the Ice Hogs, GM Henry's tail-spinning squad sinking back into the FHL basement.

Polar Bears: 7.0
Badger Bob: 9.0
Both the Bobs and Bears took a step back in the overall standings; the Bobs slipping to 5th place while the previously in first place Bears now occupy Slot No. 4. H2H-wise, Badger Bob, 1-1, leads the undefeated Bears by 2.0 points.

Bluliners: 18.7
Boulder Flyers: 3.0
The Bluliners departed Saturday carrying the most points. Among the 12 teams, the Boulder Flyers posted the lowest Saturday score. You don't have to be good at math to arrive at the following conclusion: after one day the Boulder Flyers are getting their ass kicked.

Ice Cats: 17.9
Wild Ducks: 4.0
A scenario that's now getting old for the other GM's: Carey Price was brilliant once again, a 49 save win providing his Ice Cats with the second best Saturday score. As a result the Cats are now in 3rd place overall and crushing the point-challenged Wild Ducks by 13.9.

Between the Pipes: 12.2
Misconducts: 11.8
So far so good for Between the Pipes as they potted almost as many points on Saturday as they scored all of last week. As a result GM Miller's 1-1 franchise is leading the 2-0 Misconducts by 0.4.
