WEEK 2 (thru Saturday) OFcuu4I
After spending the first week of the season watching cartoons, youngster Connor McDavid has finally taken flight, the Ice Hog phenom potting 5.0 (2g, 1a) on Saturday.

Ice Hogs: 12.7
Wild Ducks: 5.0

The Ice Hogs are still in last place but a solid Saturday has given GM Henry reason to hope, the output providing the Hogs with a 7.7 lead over the defense-challenged Wild Ducks. The Ice Hogs Achilles heel is still painful however as Sidney Crosby was held off the score sheet once again. After five games, the third overall selection in the draft has yet to uncover a single point. Crosby did have one shot on goal, so that's kinda good.

Polar Bears: 13.1
Between the Pipes: 3.0

"THUMP!" That was the sound of Between the Pipes falling from first place to sixth place in the overall standings, now 9.0 behind the top spot. With only 3.0 points to show for Saturday, H2H-wise, the Pipes are trailing the now-in-first-place Polar Bears by 10.1. The Polar Bears were the recipient of another Ben Bishop win, his fourth of the season. New-acquire Tomas Plekanec was also good as he pocketed a goal.

Boulder Flyers: 14.2
Redliners: 16.0

The Boulder Flyers were gifted their first and second goaltending wins of the season. Though neither Rask or Talbot played especially well, GM Morgan was still smiling after the game. GM Morgan wasn't smiling when he saw the result of the Dallas game, a game in which Redliner Tyler Seguin scorched the twine for 8.0 points (2g, 2a) - enough points to provide GM Megan with a 1.8 lead in this H2H showdown.

Ice Cats: 9.9
Bluliners: 12.4

James Neal potted two goals on Saturday to help provide his 7th place Bluliners team with 2.5 lead over the Ice Cats. Kyle Okposo was one of the better players for the Cats as he netted 4.0 (1g, 2a). The Ice Cats also moved up a notch in the overall standings, GM Cutshall's squad now in second place, 6.8 behind the Polar Bears.

SC Cobras: 3.2
Badger Bob: 15.2

The first-ever battle of expansion teams finds Badger Bob trouncing SC Cobras, GM Chester's team leading by 12.0. The Bobs were lead by the play of Patrice Bergeron who potted 5.0 (2g, 1a). The Saturday performance has buoyed Badger Bob's position in the overall standings as they were lifted into third place overall. The Cobras meanwhile are tracking in the opposite direction, GM Murphy's misfiring squad now in 11th place, just 2.0 points clear of the dark, damp FHL basement.

Misconducts: 12.6
Silicon Valley Slashers: 9.9

The Misconducts departed the day in 5th place in the overall standings and 2.7 better than the Slashers, their Week 2 H2H opponent. Misconduct Marc-Andre Fleury has his game back on track, his second win of the season the result of a 26 save outing. The Slashers are trailing but the future looks bight, GM Murphy's team now in 4th place overall, just 7.6 behind the first place Bears.
