With his Wild Ducks team desperately in need of points it was Captain America to the rescue, Zach Parise netting the first hat trick (9.0 points) of the 2015-16 season.Bluliners: 10.4
Wild Ducks: 9.0Despite the heroics of Zach Parise the Bluliners continue to lead this Original Six bout, collecting just enough Thursday points (4.4) to keep the Wild Ducks at bay. The Wild Duck output could have been far greater as Antti Niemi - while parked on the bench - pocketed what would have been an FHL single day points record for goaltenders (37 save shutout, 2 assists). In search of a comment the FHL was unable to speak to GM Collard as he was, at press time, still being talked down from the ledge.
Badger Bob: 12.0
Between the Pipes: 10.5Defender Erik Johnson delivered 5.0 points (1g, 1a) as Badger Bob upped their two day total to 12.0; 1.5 better than Between the Pipes. The Pipes however are breathing down the Bob's neck, thanks in part to Craig Anderson who backstopped a 26 save win.
Ice Cats: 14.6
Redliners: 7.5The Ice Cats cooled on Thursday but still uncovered enough points (2.0) to stay on top of the Cup-chase standings. Trailing by 12.6 after Day 1, the Redliners are back in the hunt as they harvested 7.5, lead by the play of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (1g) and Pekka Rinne (25 save win).
Misconducts: 13.9
SC Cobras: 10.0The Misconducts erupted for 6.0 and now find themselves in 2nd place overall. Kyle Turris was the Thursday standout as he netted 4.0 (2g). Jaden Schwartz was also good as he collected two helpers (2.0). The Cobras departed the day with 4.0 and now trail this Week 1 affair by 3.9.
Silicon Valley Slashers: 8.2
Polar Bears: 8.2After two days the Slashers and Bears are deadlocked at 8.2. Trailing by 5.2 after the opener, the Bears clawed their way back into this Week 1 rumble with points from Tyson Barrie (1a) and Ben Bishop (23 save win).
Boulder Flyers: 9.4
Ice Hogs: 4.0With points from five different players the Boulder Flyers increased their lead to 5.4. The Ice Hogs meanwhile continue to struggle as they are now the lone occupant of the FHL cellar. At the post-game press conference, when asked to sum up his team's performance thus far, GM Steve "I like 'em young" Henry could only shake his head.
