PostSubject: Awaiting draft analysis   THE DRAFT, 2015-16 (all 192 picks) EmptySun Oct 04, 2015 10:12 pm

Now that the draft is complete, awaiting draft analysis from across the thousands of miles of frozen rink (as opposed to fruited plain) that the FHL now covers, New Jersey to Michigan to Colorado to California. Feel free to play Don Cherry or Barry Melrose or in the case of the Red Wings fans among us Helene St. James.

How did you think you did overall? Were there picks you loved/hated? Were players picked just before you when you were locked and loaded?

Badger Bob management multitasking bounce Sunday night. Will post analysis probably tomorrow.

But must say Badger Bob management was happy cheers to get through the draft without any technology issues. Link was solid. Hence no Motor City Madness (not to be confused with Motor City Madness: The Ultimate Funkadelic afro on Wikipedia) at this end.

Overall, was expecting to take Tavares at 3, but when Cindy was still available, I reluctantly took him..

Badger Bob did steal two of my guys, I was going to take Rinne or Quick(an Ice Hog Staple) and then just said WTF, and took McDavid at the end of round 1, hoping he is the next Gretzky..

Later on, I was going to take Halak, and bastard I mean Badger Bob took him.. Same with Iginla..

I definitely have youth on my team, and lacking a quality D.. Hoping the offense can carry me with some huge multi point games.. and Luongo and Schneider play 75-77 games

More or less happy with my draft.

Since he lead the NHL in scoring for much of the year - and finished with just six fewer points than Jamie Benn, the NHL leader - I was surprised that Voracek was available in the 3rd round. Happy to have him cause I'm a huge fan of Claude Giroux. Not only do Giroux/Voracek play on the same line, they actually look alike (after a few pops I might even think I have Giroux).

Also pleased to have John Klingberg. That said, I only selected him because the Bluliners pimped me by taking Ryan Johansen, the guy I was targeting.

I'm not a fan of Tuukka Rask (has to be an easier way to spell "Tuukka") or anything Boston. Selected him only because someone had drained the goalie pool.

T.J. Oshie playing with Ovechkin is intriguing, though I don't like putting too many eggs in one basket. I might have to trade Ovech, I mean, Oshie to Scott.  Cool

Jakob Voracek after three weeks: GOALS: 0 ASSISTS: 3

Apparently the 11 other GM's knew something that I didn't. Laughing Mad pale
