PostSubject: WEEK 5 (thru Saturday)   Sun Nov 09, 2014 5:01 pm

Defenseman Kris Letang was in a giving mood on Saturday, gifting his Boulder Flyers team 16 points (2g, 2a).

Timbers: 9.7
Boulder Flyers: 26.0

The good news for GM Sarzynski is that Timbers have once again escaped from the FHL cellar. The bad news is that his team is sitting in a cavernous hole, the Timbers deficit 16.3 after the first day of the week.

Polar Bears: 37.8
Wild Ducks: 30.5

While Kris Letang might have scored the most points by a player on Saturday, the Polar Bears were the best team, breaking the FHL record for most points scored in a single day. The Bears 37.8 bettered the mark of 35.7 scored by the Ice Cats in 2013-14. Despite the jaw-dropping outburst the now-in-first-place Bears still have a fight on their hands, the also point-saturated Wild Ducks sitting just 7.3 back.

Ice Hogs: 22.8
Misconducts: 11.0

On a typical Saturday the Ice Hogs' 22.8 would been more than enough to pad their lead. On this given Saturday their performance dropped them into 2nd place as they surrendered 15.0 to the first place Polar Bears. Meanwhile the 8th place Misconducts are looking at an uphill climb, their deficit 11.8 with six days remaining in the week.

Ice Cats: 4.0
Redliners: 7.0

While plenty of points were collected on Saturday, few were scooped up by the Ice Cats whose meek 4.0 contribution to the day has dropped them into the FHL basement. The 6th place Redliners didn't fare much better, netting 7.0 to provide them with a thin 3.0 cushion.

Dream Team: 10.0
Bluliners: 5.6

The Bluliners fired mostly blanks on Saturday and now find themselves in 5th place in the overall standings; a meaty 51.7 behind the first place Polar Bears. The 7th place Dream Team are now 57.2 behind the top spot but ahead of the Bluliners, their lead currently 4.4.
