PostSubject: WEEK 2 (FINAL)   Sat Oct 25, 2014 3:58 am

Jordan Eberle pounded the final nail in the Timbers' Week 2 coffin, netting 5.0 (2g, 1a) for his Ice Cats team.

Ice Cats: 52.5
Timbers: 17.2

The Ice Cats had absolutely no trouble with the Timbers as GM Cutshall's team harnessed their first victory of the season. The impressive win left the surging felines with a record of 1-1. In the Cup-chase race the Ice Cats are in 7th place, 17.6 behind the first place Polar Bears.
Could the fat lady be tuning her chops already? Not yet but she may be starting her "Do-Re-Mi's" soon as the listless Timbers continue to drift further south. Their H2H record is steady at 1-1 but GM Sarzynski's team sits in last place in the overall standings, a healthy 49.2 behind the front runner.

Wild Ducks: 51.9
Bluliners: 41.3

The Wild Ducks improved to 1-1 with a runaway romp over the defending champion Bluliners. While the Bluiners made a run at the end the Ducks were always in control, winning by a comfortable 10.6. In the overall standings the Ducks slipped a few notches at week's end and now stand on the 6th rung of the FHL ladder.
One good day prevented the week from being a total disaster as the crippled Bluliners slipped to 1-1 for the season. The overall standings find GM Hamilton's injury-prone team in 5th place; 14.8 shy of the peak.

Polar Bears: 56.3
Dream Team: 50.6

What a difference one year doesn't make. Last year the Bears were quick starters and challenged for the FHL Cup for most of the season. GM Elya finds himself in a similar position in 2014-15; first place overall and a perfect 2-0 in the H2H title chase.
The Dream Team were unable to secure their first win of the season, stumbling to 0-2. The sun is shining much brighter in the overall standings as GM Austin's team is seated in 3rd place, just 10.0 behind the leader.

Redliners: 55.9
Misconducts: 36.5

The Redliners lay a whole bunch of hurt on the Misconducts as GM Megan's team improved to 2-0. In the overall race the Redliners are sitting comfortably in 4th place, just 12.9 shy of GM Elya's Bears.
The Misconducts dropped the ball/puck for the second consecutive week, their H2H record now 0-2. GM Smalley's position in the overall standings is just as grim; lodged in 8th place, 38.3 rows from the front of the class.

Ice Hogs: 46.2
Boulder Flyers: 40.8

A 10.0 Friday was more than enough to keep the Boulder Flyers at bay as the Ice Hogs improved to 2-0. The conclusion of Week 2 finds the Hogs nestled in second place in the overall standings, 3.8 steps behind the top spot.
The Boulder Flyers sunk to 0-2 on the season as they were bitch-slapped by the Ice Hogs. The overall standings aren't much prettier as GM Morgan's spark-free team currently occupy the 8th spot, 32.3 points in the red.
