PostSubject: WEEK 1 (FINAL)   Sat Oct 18, 2014 3:59 am

Eight points are what Henrik Zetterberg collected on Friday, his 4 assists salvaging the week for his Wild Ducks team.

Timbers: 62.0
Wild Ducks: 61.3

By the skin of their teeth the Timbers survived Week 1, edging the Wild Ducks by 0.7. While the Timbers slowed after a lightening fast start, GM Sarzynski has to be pleased with his team's overall performance; in 5th place overall, just 16.4 back of the first place Ice Hogs.
On Thursday the Wild Ducks were flirting with the FHL basement. One day and 12.0 points later GM Collard finds himself in 6th place, just 17.1 behind the leader. Despite the tough loss to the Timbers the Ducks are all smiles, avoiding what could have been a horrendous start to the season.

Ice Hogs: 78.4
Dream Team: 67.8

The Ice Hogs netted just 1.0 on Friday but the damage had already been done, GM Henry's Hogs closing the week as the best team in the FHL. The league-best outburst also provided the Ice Hogs with their first H2H victory and a crisp $2.00 bill.
The Dream Team joined four other teams with an 0-1 record, falling to the Ice Hogs by 10.6. On a much brighter note, GM Austin's Dreamers were better than six other franchises as they find themselves in 4th place overall.

Redliners: 59.6
Boulder Flyers: 55.3

Having won only two H2H matches all of last year GM Megan has to be ecstatic about her team's play, knocking off last year's H2H champion by 4.3. The Week 1 numbers have placed the Redliners in 7th place overall, 18.8 shy of the first place Hogs.
The Boulder Flyers endured a miserable week though, on the bright side, they did escape the FHL basement. Despite his squad's struggles GM Morgan is still thinking 'FHL Cup,' his team's deficit a could-have-been-a-hell-of-a-lot worse 23.1.

Bluliners: 72.3
Ice Cats: 58.3

The defending champion Bluliners haven't skipped a beat, their Week 1 numbers leaving them just behind the front-runner and well ahead of their glassy-eyed H2H opponent.
It was an up-and-down week for the Ice Cats, leading the league after one day and then falling into the basement. The ice spray now settled, GM Cutshall finds himself in 8th place overall, 20.1 rows behind the Ice Hogs.

Polar Bears: 72.1
Misconducts: 53.6

The Polar Bears enjoyed a fruitful week, their 72.1 placing them in 3rd place, just 6.3 shy of the top position. The H2H battle was a rout, GM Elya's Bears eclipsing the misfiring Misconducts by 18.5.
It was a week to forget for GM Smalley and his Misconducts, their 53.6 output the worst in the land. Despite being lodged in the FHL cellar, the Misconducts are rightfully optimistic as 23 long weeks remain in the 2014-15 season.
